After 5 years of Uni, a change in degrees (the best decision of my life), 960 hours of placement, 40 hours of community engagement, and 12 continuity of care women (countless hours of attending appointments/births) I can now officially register as a Midwife! My family have supported me so much in this time so thankyou to everyone but a special thanks to my mum for the countless hours of baby sitting even when you work yourself full time, my dad and my nan for all your support through the years, my bestie shez for always being there to babysit especially for those last minute call ups, my sister for showing me how to write an essay in my first year ☺️, my uni sista Maz for the support through the years you are truly an amazing person and your friendship is one of the best things to come out of this degree and Tom and the boys for always believing in me and allowing me the time and space I needed to get through this degree, this degree is a hard slog and it takes everything from you but what Midwifery gives back to you is everything and more. It’s an honour to be able to work as a midwife and it’s an honour to be able to support and advocate for women throughout their pregnancy and birth. I cannot wait for next year and to continue to learn and grow. Thank you to Kallie for allowing me to come and go at the salon I’m annoying but I love being there and can’t stay away, you’re amazing and I appreciate your support and friendship always. Now for my much needed foot surgery, rest, and much needed time with my family before the year of being a grad begins!
