Some flavours don’t just taste good — they take you somewhere. 🤎

This is Chocolate Kartoshka — the iconic chocolate cake many of us remember from Soviet childhood.

Soviet “Kartoshka” was actually born from a brilliant zero-waste idea.

Leftover sponge cake was turned into crumbs, mixed with buttercream and a splash of cognac or rum and then shaped into little “potatoes” and coated in cocoa.

Nothing wasted — and somehow it became an iconic childhood treat. ✨

For some, it’s just a chocolate treat.
For others, it’s a little trip back home. 🥹
