Hello! My name is Greta 🤍
So many of you have been wondering who’s behind this macaron page…
I was born in Lithuania and moved to Australia in 2020, just before COVID. The plan was to stay for three years and then return home… but life had other plans, and I ended up staying.
After I gave birth to my baby girl, things became really hard — especially in those first two years. I felt like I completely lost myself. One day, I realised that baking helped me find peace. It allowed me to switch off my mind and just be present. It gave me a sense of calm and satisfaction I hadn’t felt in a long time.
But baking is different from cooking. When you cook, you can improvise and it usually still turns out well. With baking, you have to follow the rules — every detail matters. I tried many things, but nothing truly clicked… until I challenged myself to make macarons.
Of course, I failed at first. Many times. But something about them just felt right. I knew this was it — something I wanted to master and do every single day. It took me a whole year of practicing, baking almost daily (often late at night), and throwing away hundreds of macarons because they weren’t perfect in my eyes.
Slowly, I learned. I refined the recipe, adjusted every detail, and made it my own.
And here I am, a few years later, still completely in love with what I do. Every day I bake these little treats for you, and it makes me so happy knowing I can bring a bit of sweetness to your table.
I enjoy them every morning with my coffee before starting my day — and my little one loves them too. I give them to her completely guilt-free, knowing exactly what goes into each one: always fresh, never frozen, and no added preservatives.
This is my story… and I’ll keep making macarons for as long as they continue to bring smiles and happiness 🤍✨
