People see a product.
They don’t always see the years behind it.

These caramellos started in my home kitchen in 2012; made for friends, family, and anyone who would eat them.

By 2015, cafés were asking for them.
Then came packaging, shelf life, sizing, fillings, shapes, textures… and a lot of learning the hard way.

Nothing here was rushed.
Nothing here was trend-led.
Just quiet iteration, obsession, and refining until it actually held up.

Over a decade in the making.
Apparently I don’t know how to let a recipe go.

I didn’t expect a chocolate brand to teach me anything…but somewhere between product launches, flopped batches, and figuring things out the long way, I realised:

Every lesson was basically pushing me back to myself. The real me; the layered, imperfect, quirky, “sometimes too much but always honest” me.

Learning to trust myself.
Letting go of being perfect.
Celebrating the weird bits.
Finding calm in chaos.
And realising I don’t have to shrink to fit in;
not in business, not in life, not anywhere.

Everything I make has layers. Turns out, so do I. And building this brand taught me to actually like all of them.

Let me tell you about the time I said yes to a “game-changing” contract…and ended up working my ass off for almost nothing.

Initially margins were thin, but manageable.
Then chocolate prices jumped 400%, overheads crept up, and suddenly every order felt like a punch in the gut.

More volume didn’t mean more money, it meant more pressure, more hours, and less time for the vision I actually cared about.

I tried to renegotiate. No luck.
So I made the painful decision to walk away.
It was the moment I stopped building other people’s empires and started prioritizing mine.

Here’s what that mistake taught me:
→ Don’t price with hope.
→ Growth isn’t worth it if it burns you out.
→ Say no faster next time.
