This cake very nearly broke me. I had anxiety over whether it would fall apart because I made a rookie error with the lemon curd filling and I didn’t have time to redo it 😩

It’s just been picked up by the client so I can breathe a little easier, but I won’t relax until I hear that it’s reached the venue in one piece!

I’ll be honest, I don’t want to sell big cakes like this anymore 😢 it’s sooo stressful, and the $ just isn’t worth it for me. I don’t have an industrial kitchen, a big enough fridge, or enough space, not to mention the hours and hours of time they take… there’s a very good reason cake makers charge a lot for custom made cakes!

I might be sticking to cupcakes from now on unless it’s for family and friends who aren’t paying me, and if something goes wrong we can laugh about it 😅

But anyway, here it is! Ordered for a graduation for a very special group of people, it had to represent the sun and sunstones, have vibrant colours, gold, stars, and be majestic. I hope I got those covered!
