Lockdown changed and challenged my perspective of how I was doing things. Whilst I am passionate for creating wedding cakes and have a great deal of appreciation for events, i have had time to reflect on how much trying to achieve running a business especially in those lockdown periods, managing my high demand full time position and looking after 3 very young kids, kept burning me out.
On top of this, I personally struggled whilst navigating through the negativity on social media during the pandemic. This affected my mental health deeply.
Whilst Sweetnezz has given me a great deal of joy, it has also made me realise I am burning the candle from both ends.
This brings me to say that I will no longer be taking on anymore orders and have canceled my 2022 bookings 😞
This decision has been incredibly difficult to make but the writing has been on the wall for months.
Whilst I am sad, I am also at peace with my decision.
I don’t believe it’s good bye but see you soon. You never know what’s around the corner. The last 3 and a half years has brought me so much joy especially those moments when walking away from all of your wedding cakes whilst giving a huge pat on the back to myself.
