~ I am officially booked out for 2023~

I realised I only posted this on Instagram the other day but need to share with all my Facebook followers too.

I am officially booked out for 2023.

November and December are now fully booked.

Thank you to everyone who has placed an order this year and have locked in their treats for the remainder of this year and early next year.

🎄 I will still be offering Xmas packs, teacher packs and these will be up for pre order in the coming weeks. So excited to show you what themes I have this year.

☀️ I am also having some time off over the summer and IVY will be closed between December 24th till January 31st.. In saying this I do have a few orders booked in this time period which will still go ahead..I am just not taking any further orders so I can spend the break with my kids as both school and daycare are closed.

WHY IVY ADAMS when your name is Lauren.. ???

So many of you have asked this! Part of the reason is this beautiful lady who turned 80 last month!!

Yvonne Barnes ( Yvonne Adams) my Great Aunty Vonnie and the Great granddaughter of Herbert Adams, the founder of the famous Pie and sausage roll brand ‘ Herbert Adams’ that you can purchase in Woolworths still to this day 😊

My family line is full of bakers and passionate cake decorators so I wanted to pay tribute to them and especially this one of a kind lady with my business name.

I grew up watching aunty Vonnie decorate cakes with my mum and hearing all about the talent of my great grandmother ( Nanna A) working in the Adams bakery’s in Orange. As the years went on the family line did get cut however the passion for all things baking continued through our blood.

Making this cake was so special to me because it was finally my turn to return the favour and make her a special cake as she has done for me for so many years.

I wouldn’t be me without her, she is a huge inspiration of mine not just because of her ability in the kitchen but she is the most beautiful lady with a kindness that is unmatched and a warmth like no other. She is one of a kind and I’m so glad to call her my aunty!
