We run social hiking on the Sunshine Coast, and hiking in the Kimberley. Black strap molasses is the raw product left after crushing sugar cane and can be used for sweetening in baking and cooking. Blackstrap Molasses can be dissolved in a glass of water or stirred into health drinks such as smoothies.

Ok, so molasses doesn't have that really attractive taste that makes you want to grab another marshmello from the cupboard but I have to admit I don't mind dipping my finger in the jar from time to time for a quick pep me up. No one else in the family uses it so I am a double dipper as well :-)
