Let’s make the ‘Viral Dot Cake’.

You too can make this at home, my icing recipe is available for purchase on my website… and it tastes like Mr Whippy ice cream too!

Always interesting when things like this go viral, cake in a jar was super popular around 2010, and cake decorators will often sell off their cake ‘scraps’ with icing in tubs… but all you need is a few videos on TikTok and boom! Haha

Approx two hours of cutting and gluing into 30 seconds, and the song of the afternoon.
I had just enough of the blue tiles to complete the background, now I let this dry, and the next step is the grouting!

I may have done a little squeal finishing this beauty 🥳

I used fried rice paper painted pink for the ‘wings/fins’, all the rest is buttercream, and topped with .sprinkled sprinkles 👏
