Todays celebration cake for an avid fisherman, with Irish heritage who loves his Arsenal team, Queensland State of Origin and his faithful fishing companion - Cara, the American Staffy. My lovely customer requested this design, which is similar to one I created at the start of this year. Cake flavour was banana and walnut, with dark chocolate ganache layers. A whole lot of fun making the decorations. ❤

Was this cake fun to create!....HELL YES! and I am supposed to be thinking about retiring. 🤣

My lovely customer sent me two photos and asked if I could combine components of both into one cake, so this is not my original design.
Cake flavour was white chocolate mud, with white chocolate ganache layers and swiss meringue buttercream icing. ❤🐚🪸

My favourite part of caking, especially novelty cakes, is being able to create the decorations myself. Shells are certainly a fun, therapeutic process for me. I love using several methods from hand-rolled, silicon molds and using shells I found at the beach as a child. 🐚
