I have always wanted to make a cake for a wedding at the iconic Brookwater Golf Club. It is a stunning golf course and a spectacular location for such an event. It was my pleasure to make this cake, I hope it lived up to its location.

It is with a little sadness I let you all know that “Jewels Cake Dream” will be closing. I still have a couple more orders to fill, but I will not be taking any new orders from now on.

I’d just like to take this opportunity to say thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart, to all my family, friends, customers and supporters. Without you, I could not have made this business venture work.

I have thoroughly enjoyed making all your beautiful cakes and I’m proud of what I have achieved with my little business. I started making cakes as a hobby while on maternity leave with my first child and she is now almost 9! It was a dream of mine to start my own business so that I could work from home and be there for my children in their early years. It was a massive challenge to set up my business but I’m happy to say, I achieved that dream, if only for a time.

As one chapter ends, another begins and I’m very excited about what the future has in store.

I always find this style of cake a little stressful because once you start piping the rosettes, there’s no room for error. If you make a mistake, you have to start over!
