We are back open on Monday.
Dave and I had a lovely break in beautiful Thailand for my daughter's wedding. Such a beautiful country that I look forward to returning to. Here is a little snap shot

Dave and I are very excited to finally have our first ever break from the Bakery.

My daughter is getting married so it's going to be wonderful to have some much needed family time.

Happy New Year

On this the first day of the year I'd like to take a moment to acknowledge Dave, owner and sole baker. Every day is a big day (well night) but at this time of year the orders are massive and Dave still manages to do what seems impossible.

The amount of product that he bakes is mind boggling. Every bread roll, loaf of bread, pie or pastie all made by hand.

Most customer's dont realise what happens behind the scenes. They just see a little Bakery that only trades for 4 -5 hours a day.

For Dave there is little to no family time, no weekends off, no nights off, Every single day of the year. There is no celebrating New Year Eve and other special occasions as the bread simply cannot bake itself.

Thankyou Dave for your life time of dedication and all the sacrifices you make to keep the business thriving.

I am so excited as in a few weeks we will be having our first EVER break. Will post details next week 😁

The wait is over. Fruit Mince Pies are available this week. They sell out quickly so I strongly advise ordering to avoid disappointment.

All orders for Christmas Eve need to be in ASAP. If you need dinner rolls, Cobb loaves, bread sticks, family apple pies, bread rolls let us know so we can bake what you need.

It's a crazy busy time and there will be a limit to what Dave can do. There are only so many hours in a day and he is one man, not 6 like some think.

Dear Customer's

Yes we are open today but the road is closed in front on the shop. Im not happy at all as we were not informed about this. I have spoken to council and lodged a complaint but sadly that doesn't help us today.

The cost of street closure on small business is huge.

We hope that those who are able can park around the corner and walk to the shop. We will see how the day goes and can only hope for the best.

This is the charity that we are taking donations for. I've had lots of questions about the box in the Bakery so I wanted to share this.
Items needed for women are simple things like

Shampoo
Soap
Deodorant- roll on only
Period products
Baby items
Toiletries
You can also donate items such as lip balm, hair brush, face and body care.

From these items special bags are made and given to women fleeing domestic violence. Some of these women have babies so baby care items are also much appreciated.

All donations are very much appreciated but must meet the criteria to ensure no dangerous items are included.
