For those interested to hear what we cooked at the virtual demo on Sunday this is the prawn and pepper spaghetti dish and the Hawaiian salad with lime dressing.

The prawn dish was in a collection for single serves, but it was easily doubled - using just one quantity of water to cook the pasta. The salad made heaps and the dressing was really tasty. We followed those two dishes with the sticky date puddings which I steamed in the varoma as individual ones.

I was so busy getting ready for my virtual demo on Sunday that I forgot to post the week’s recipe. There won’t be a zoom session this week as my Thermomix and I will be in different parts of the world. Here is a possible menu item for you for this week. Let me know what you think.

Tonight we cooked the Parmesan, chorizo and chives gnocchi for our cookalong dish. It was very tasty. We demolished the lot as it was a 2 person dish. It could easily be doubled or even tripled especially if you cook the gnocchi on the stove top, leaving the TM to cook the chorizo and sauce.

As one of our group didn’t have a blade cover we decided to cook the gnocchi on the stove top which meant that it was all finished and ready within 30 minutes. We did have to cook the sauce longer as after the prescribed time the cream cheese was only half melted. We also had to remember to set aside 50 g of the cooking liquid from the gnocchi pot as it was needed to add to the sauce.

My husband is not keen on fiery hot stuff, and as I only had sriracha sauce, I just added 1 tsp of it to the sauce. For those not wanting anything spicy maybe BBQ sauce could be a possible substitute?
