“Something fun, colourful and a bit maximalist”, with the colour scheme of burgundy, yellow and orange.

The flavour is vanilla sponge cake with strawberries and cream cheese frosting.

I had the wonderful honour in making Jacinta’s baby shower cake. I loved piping the ruffles, blue bows and especially making the goose with the bow out of fondant.

I must have seen everything in pixels for a few days after making this one. I absolutely loved making the big version of Steve’s head and the surprising challenge was actually making the pig’s nose using little tiny square fondant.

A spectacular purple and gold themed 18th birthday!

For Saphira’s surprise birthday, I was honoured to create this purple buttercream marbled vanilla bean cake.
I loved painting the edible gold accents and making the lemon macarons. Swirling the purple hued buttercream was a satisfying challenge to get perfectly right.

I made the hydrangeas out of fondant because the real ones are actually poisonous to eat!

William’s 3rd Dinosaur Themed Birthday
It’s become a running tradition after having made William’s 1st and 2nd birthday cakes!

Tasked with creating the number “3” as the island surrounded by the rough waves, I loved adding the edible volcano and shaping the greenery with piped buttercream.

The flavour was chocolate cake with dark chocolate ganache- the perfect match for this epic Jurassic landscape.

It’s not every day I get to create this celestial themed black and gold cake for a special 30th birthday.
The flavour is chocolate cake with chocolate ganache.
I loved shaping and painting the edible stars and moons for this cake.

Happy 40th Birthday Mel!
This spectacular two tier cake has two flavours for the birthday gal and guests to enjoy:
Lemon cake at the top, Vanilla cake with Dulce de leche at the bottom. I made the Dulce de leche by boiling the condensed milk for 6 hours to give a rich dark milk caramel frosting so it’s less sweet but has a deeper flavour to balance the vanilla.
