Have done a few cakes recently (more photos to come on those!) This one was as recent as yesterday! Made for gorgeous friends who had their engagement party on beautiful Noosa River. When you aren't a cake person.... but you LOVE Pavlova!! This GIANT four tiered pavlova was layered with fresh cream as well as a Raspberry Creme Faiche Cream to break up the sweetness. Decorated with fresh local berries & mint, this Baby Shower dessert went down a treat with my boss and his wife.... their baby girl is due very shortly!

Yesterday my niece turned one!! Flew down to Camberra on Friday with the base cake and decorated at my beautiful besties house! Isla LOVES birds, so her Mum made sure we made that the central theme!! Chocolate Mud with Vanilla Buttercream, Gold Leaf, White Chocolate Drip finished with with Native flowers and, of course, her favourites....Cockatoos

First wedding cake in quite a while! Made for a gorgeous couple and also held at my favourite restaurant in Noosa... Lucio's! Big thanks to Christopher for all his assistance with setup! Top tier (for the groom!) - Chocolate Mud with Jammy Raspberry Buttercream. Bottom Tier (for the bride) - Vanilla Buttercake with Key Lime Buttercream. Watch this space... fingers crossed there will be lots more to come in the not too distant future!!

Another day... another cake. A 21st family celebration doesnt mean you cant have something special!! An old school Victoria Sponge cake with traditional jam & cream filling. Instead of using buttercream to decorate, I used some of the whipped cream & chocolate shards, with a few chocolates and sprinkles.

Chocolate Overload 21st Cake. Honestly, for a young man turning 21, you just cant go wrong with Chocolate Mud cake, chocolate buttercream and LOADS of chocolate decorations!

Mimco Phone cake - This cake was made for a very special lady for her birthday. Her phone is always on her, so her husband asked me to incorporate it into her cake to make her smile! Unfortunately it was made during a very high humidity day thus making it look a little sticky (darn you Qld weather)!! Chocolate Mud & White Chocolate Mud with Vanilla Buttercream (or Top Deck as it is lovingly referred to!!)

Wishing everyone a Very Merry Christmas!! This cake has just been picked up by a lovely man who works two doors down from my work. It will be the centrepiece of their chrissy table and I was overjoyed to make it for them. Spiced ginger & walnut cake with caramel truffle filling

A very special request made for a very special lady's 50th. She spent her childhood years with her family at the Currumbin Surf Club & Elephant Rock, and it means so very much to her. Her gorgeous husband asked me to replicate it... and due to heat and a few issues, I think it came out okay in the end. Earlier this year, my beautiful cousin Bethany married her sweetheart Al and I had the privilege of making their wedding cake. Today I made their 2nd cake for the year... a BabyQ Cake. What a big year for them, and what an honour to be there for both celebrations. Chocolate Mud with Chocolate Ganache (as if it would be anything else!!) Loved doing a spin on traditional Baby Shower theme... the BBQ celebration in the park was perfect!!

Two days ago, I made this wedding cupcake tower for an absolutely lovely couple. A twist on a similar cake I have done before, but still beautifully unique & classic. Both the cupcakes and cutting cake were chocolate mud with raspberry jam filling and icing. Making cakes like this put me in a "happy place" and even more so when they are loved by the couple ❤️
