ok, we heard you. our initial AGM wasn't good enough, so we are holding a new and improved AGM v2.0.

1. we have made membership FREE for unimelb students leading up to the AGM. if you've been thinking about joining, now's your chance!

2. we are holding a separate, delicious food event at 4:00pm in the same room right before the AGM starts. we are planning to have a bunch of fried chicken, sushi, pizza, chips, lollies, and cupcakes!

3. hopefully, this convinces you to run for a sweet committee position. we'll be introducing new positions for Vice President, Events Coordinator, Sponsorship Liaison, and Marketing Director, in addition to our current executive and General Committee roles.

we hope that we've convinced to you help make CAKE great again, and that we see you at the AGM!

why did we join the cake club committee?

we love food, baking, and our fellow students. CAKE has been an amazing way for us to connect with our university peers, gain experience in leadership positions, and have fun with organising exciting events for our members to enjoy. we love CAKE and it's so much fun to share this love with our friends and fellow students!

You are invited to attend our Annual General Meeting!

Time: 12:00pm
Date: Friday 21 August
Place: B189 Activity Room 101 or Zoom

Our CAKE Club AGM is a scrumptious opportunity to get involved in our university community, make new friends, and add something sweet to your resume.

To participate, you must make sure that you are:
1. A student at UniMelb
2. A member of CAKE Club
3. A food lover!

During this meeting, all club committee positions will be up for re-election, meaning that you have a chance to sn**ch up a delicious position to help run CAKE for the next year.

The positions up for re-election are:

Executive:
- President
- ** Vice-President
- Secretary
- Treasurer

Non-Executive:
- ** Events Co-ordinator
- ** Marketing Director
- ** Sponsorship Liaison
- General Committee Member (x10)

Positions that are marked with ** are only up for election if the proposed changes to the club constitution are adopted during the meeting.

If you’re interested in joining the committee but are unable to attend the actual meeting, please send an email to [email protected] with:

1. A short biography of who you are,
2. What position/s you are nominating for (best to choose multiple in case you aren’t elected for your preferred role),
3. Why you would be an excellent candidate for the role, and
4. A photo of yourself doing something you love (only if you would like but it’s really beneficial for people to see who they’re voting for 😊)
5. Making sure that you have a maximum word count of
~250 words.

This will be read out and shown at the meeting for club members to vote on. The meeting time is the deadline.

it's the end of semester and it's getting real chilly! ☃️ ❄️

this friday we'll be selling some tasty hot chocolate to keep you warm and toasty fuel your cram sessions 📚🤓

☕ hot chocolate is free for CAKE members and $3 for non-members. we have whole milk and oat milk available :)

stay warm and we'll see you on friday between 11am and 1pm outside the ballieu library ❄️
