[ BUTTERCREAM- GAH!]
So buttercream is so not my thing- it makes me break out in hives just thinking about piping 🤣 thought I’d attempt it for mine and my mums bday dinner tonight. Pretty happy with how it turned out! Definitely a lot of flaws so don’t go zooming in too close! Managed to throw this together in 2 hours thanks to the fact the cake was prebaked by Bake Me Up cakes, and as if that wasn’t enough to tick the box of being baked and ready to decorate- it’s also GLUTEN FREE for the coeliacs of the fam. 🎀

A year and a half between posts 🤣 for someone that doesn’t ‘cake’ anymore I have now ‘caked’ twice in one week! Our school principal has retired after 22.5 years 😱 that’s a long innings! Massive afternoon tea today to celebrate her contribution to the school and to wish her well for the next chapter of her life. 🎀

Oh hey kids 🙋🏽‍♀️ it’s been a while between posts! I hope everyone’s been surviving 2020! What a year! I’ve got such a back catalogue of cakes at the moment I thought I should start posting again! 😆 This one was a choc mud number cake with whipped white choc ganache, macarons, choc dipped strawberries, choc shards and gold Maltesers. 🎀

Throw back to when I whipped up a chocolate smash ‘cake’ stuffed full of lollies and a monster cake for Henry to celebrate his 6th birthday. This whole covid business is driving everyone nuts i know- if we all work together (by staying away from each other) we can get back to normal soon enough! I for one can’t wait for parties to start again. Especially as 2 of my 3 kids have birthdays next month! Stay safe everyone and wash your hands 😆 🎀

[ BUSHFIRE BAKE SALES ]

Hey sweet friends- as you know Australia has been dealing with an unprecedented spate of bushfires. They are covering huge parts of our states. We personally are in Victoria and have family and friends ties to the East Gippsland area, Corryong area, not to mention in many other parts of New South Wales too. The Australian Cake Decorating Network are currently sourcing dates and venues for our statewide Bake Sale Fundraiser. If you are interested at donating any baked goods to the Nunawading 3131 stall please feel free to contact me either on here via dm or at [email protected]

After a quick and pretty much mess free sweet activity for the kids this Xmas? Can’t go past Chocolate Drip to make Christmas trees. Just microwave the bottle for 30 secs, shake and create! We used pretzel sticks from IGA, Choc Drip in Evergreen and topped off with Sprinks Snowflakes and Bright confetti sprinkles. Drip and Sprinks available from Cake Decorating Central. 🎀
