you’re secretly hoping to find those fun little diagonally cut pieces of bread covered in butter and hundreds & thousands.

Such a happy little childhood memory for so many Australians 🤍

A current American baking trend… with a little Australian childhood nostalgia baked right in 🤍

🥂✨ Pink Champagne Cake decorating day ✨🥂

The more I work on this cake, the more I realize what it reminds me of…

girlfriends gathered around a table laughing, talking, eating cake, and simply enjoying being together 🤍

My friends are spread all over now, but this cake makes me think of reunions and those kinds of sweet moments that feel both grown up and a little nostalgic all at once.

Honestly, at the next reunion, I would LOVE to make this cake for Stephanie C, Stephanie W, Chauntel… and hopefully Gabby and Rhonda too 🥂🍰

And meanwhile…

the little kid in me absolutely loved the S’mores Sammies 😄

That chocolate on the graham cracker cookies with the marshmallow filling in the middle?

YUM.

Though I have to admit… since it’s fall here, sitting around a campfire with real s’mores sounds pretty wonderful too 🤍🔥

The Sammies might just be a very close second 😉

Today I’m also trying:✨ Carrot Cake Cookies with Cream Cheese Icing ✨

And honestly, if you already know I love birthday cake and Sammies… this probably won’t surprise you:

cookies in any form are always a YES for me 😄

✨ A very happy baking week continues at little bakery ✨

Can you believe next week is June already?!

I’m SO thankful I planned the June menu early because this week has turned into a full baking, testing, photographing, and dancing-in-the-kitchen kind of week 🤍

Yesterday was Pink Champagne Cake baking day 🥂🍰Today is crumb coat + frosting day… and also…

✨ S’mores Sammies ✨

The second I saw these while researching recipes, I knew I had to make them.

I LOVE a Sammie.

Honestly, it might be one of my favorite desserts… or at least tied with birthday cake 😄

⁉️And have you seen the Lemon Cream Cheese Coffee Cake yet? 🍋

(And just a quick reminder… no actual coffee in the making of coffee cake 😉)

It’s called coffee cake because it’s the kind of cake you’d have with your morning coffee… or in the afternoon while catching up with a friend.

Soft, comforting, and exactly the kind of thing little bakery loves.

This week has reminded me how much joy there is in simply being in the kitchen creating.
