making a very special Birthday Bavarian Pie for my husband, Chris 🎂

Tilly and I spent the morning in the kitchen making a beautiful chocolatey custard dessert for birthday celebrations, you’d never be able to tell that she’s camera shy… 😅 very special to share these moments with her!

It’s no secret that I love flowers, blooms and botanicals, and I love to use them to decorate cakes too - fun fact, I even studied horticulture and worked as a florist in my early twenties 🌸

I was always a bit out there when doing floristry, in the sense that I was quite drawn to making big contrasting colour bouquets - I can even remember the owner of the florist once telling me “we can’t do those colours together, yellow and pink doesn’t sell”... so I suppose you could say I’ve always been quite colourful in my work, whether it’s with flowers or with cakes! 💛🩷
