Having a crazy week! Running way behind schedule. Making 250 cookies for a wedding tomorrow and now I can officially change my name to cookie monkey or perhaps cookie monster :p

I had the honor of making this very special cake for an extremely special little girl. Amelia's family celebrated a milestone surgery for their brave little fighter. Special requests for the cake included a baby sitting on top of the cake with lovely curly hair like amelia's and a PEG tube on her tummy to signify the milestone surgery that she crossed. I felt extremely nervous while taking up this challenge because what it signified and had more than half a heart to refuse due to the fear of not delivering what amelia's mum had dreamed of. Thankfully, it turned out to be adorable and fit for our little fighter amelia

Here we go! Meet my Big Bird sculpture cake! Its always fun trying new things! It was quite a challenge to make it stand on one leg, and then transport it! Scariest cake drive to date!

Dearest customers,
I am extremely sorry to announce that cake monkey is closing down in Sydney. Me and my family are moving out of Sydney very soon so all pending order confirmations have been cancelled. I have personally messaged all pending inquiries and sorry if I've missed out any one of you. I appreciate all ur support, generous comments, feed backs and orders that have helped me grow so much as a novelty baker. I feel bad at loosing such an awesome clientele.
On a positive note, i will be bringing cake monkey to America ;) so to all the family and fans up there, get ready to plan some awesome events! Xx

When asked about theme, client said she had an image of her little black-haired girl on a swing. This was one of the most enjoyable cakes that i have made till now. Always love a challenge that gets my creative gears moving in a new direction. Loved experimenting with texture to the tree bark, leaves and loose flying curls in the little girls hair! Ran a little late so i couldn't make a video of the swing actually swinging. My heart broke a little when i gave her away.

Made this about 2 week's ago for cute little Faraz's first bday. Was accompanied with 30 cupcakes but couldnt take pics because of time shortage.

P.s. im still not taking any orders yet, ive had some exams and assignments on the side. Thanks to all of you who have messaged to ask, and sorry to all of you who i couldnt bake for. I will be back soon :)
