These blokes deserve a shout-out!! 👏🏼🫡🥧

Pie drive season is one of our busiest times of the year.

From schools and sporting clubs to community groups across the North West, the team has been flat out baking pies, sausage rolls and apple pies to help support local fundraising efforts.

Here’s a little look behind the scenes at the crew keeping the ovens firing and the pie drives rolling.

If you’ve ever had a coffee slid across the counter or been greeted with a smile out the front, there’s a good chance it was Sue.

For 22 years, she’s been part of the front shop rhythm. Always with a friendly face, a quick chat, and keeping things moving for the locals who walk through the door each day.

We’re lucky to have her, and we know plenty of you would recognise her.

The Faces Behind Watsons!

As part of our 20-year celebration, we wanted to shine a light on the people who’ve been here through it all.

First up… Bones, our baker.

🕑 How long have you worked here?
25 years

🔄 Biggest change you’ve seen in your time here?
The back shop development. The office and storage was all out the back, before the second story was built and the shop expanded.

🍰Favourite bakery treat?
Caramel tart

From early mornings to keeping the shelves full, Bones has been part of Watsons for 25 years, and a big part of why so many people keep coming back.

We’re lucky to have him here, and you’ve probably seen him behind the scenes more times than you realise.

P.s. If you’ve ever wondered how the sausage rolls come out so fast… this is your answer.

Turns out it really was a long way to the shop for a sausage roll today… because we’re shutting a little earlier than usual 🥧😂

Front shop will be closing at 3pm today.

But the back shop is still open to 5:30pm
