With our own kids having food allergies we get how crappy it can be when everyone else gets to do something and you have to miss out ….

Many of you have followed Kerry’s banana bread journey and now it’s time for a new chapter… yesterday with the support of the incredible Kelly, Kerry did his first day of paid work at Mbah IGA (and has an absolute blast !) 😆

Kelly has advocated for Kerry and made sure that he has been placed in a work place who see his potential and will value him and the contribution he can make to their business.

That may not seem like a huge deal to most people but when so many underestimate and seem to believe that he cannot contribute to society in the same way as others can, Kelly’s advocacy and IGA’s acceptance of Kerry and all he has to offer is a REALLY big deal !

Feeling so proud of this young man, and so grateful for the special people he has in his life and for employers who see people for who they are and have the potential to become.

We are quite sure that you will be seeing Kerry on some of your trips to IGA, how can you possibly miss his fun and exuberance ?!

What does Kerry like to do when he’s not in the kitchen ?
Being out in nature is one of his (and the rest of us) favourite things to do.

On Sunday we went creek exploring up Mt Warning rd. How blessed are we to have this right in our back yard ?!

Aunty Rai has been busy experimenting this week after reminiscing about the Dutch breakfast cake ‘Koek’ (pronounced cook) that her Oma used to make.
It MUST have a good slathering of butter as you can see 🤣 but we made it this week totally gluten free and using ghee in the batter instead of butter. The best bit ? Eating it from one of Oma’s wooden dishes 🥰

The verdict ? Hmmm well it’s not quite Oma’s koek, but it is pretty darn good if Aunty Rai says so herself !

Have you tried converting a ‘normal’ recipe to gluten free ? How did you go ?

Winter is coming !!!!

Who doesn’t love a bit of and rice for lunch ? We know Aunty Shay sure does ! 😘

Whilst we don’t personalise everyone’s orders to be single serve 🤣, you can order your own Butter chicken with separate rice to serve two for Friday night dinner or to pop in your freezer for another chilly night that needs something easy and yummy in your bellies.
** Vegetarian option is available too.

You can also get - meat or vego for a Friday night meal or freezer stash (gluten free but not dairy free)

And of course, the famous ‘Made by Kerry’ Banana breads are available - all gluten free, with dairy free and vegan options available too

Everything cooked by ‘Made by Kerry’ is Gluten Free and we can do most of our goodies dairy free and vegan. We are a household of food allergies so we understand well the importance of ensuring our goods are not cross contaminated, so you can feel confident ordering from us 💗💗

Not the best photography but check out these yummy homemade buckwheat pancakes we made this morning!!

Served with warmed up frozen raspberries, fresh papaya and a big dollop of coconut yoghurt…. All gluten and dairy free !!!

Send us a message if you would be interested in purchasing a dry mix of this - all you need to add is your milk (we use coconut) and some sweetener if you use it (we used home made date syrup) when you’re ready to cook them up !
A perfect weekend breakfast treat for the gluten free foodie ! (Plus these are not just diary free but vegan !!!)

The time out of the kitchen has not dampened Kerry’s egg cracking skills, that’s for sure !

We have spots available for banana breads as well as lasagnas and butter chickens (also a big pot of vegetarian butter chickpeas is going on this week!) so pop us a message or put your order in via the button at the top of our page if you want to order for this Friday.
