What a pleasure to have this Western Suburbs Magpies legend drop by with his lovely wife for a pie and coffee today. Tony Ford played over 100 first grade games with the mighty Magpies from 1967 to 1974 and scored over 660 points during this time.

I can recall my Father saying how great a player Tony was and now we got the chance to meet the man himself, a true gentleman and a champion magpie.

Our third Victorian Speedweek is done and dusted. Not quite the result we were looking for, however with the level of competition and the increasing numbers we should be happy with an equal 5th on points overall.

We had a number of mechanical issues which resulted in a couple of DNF's and starting from the rear in the features in a quality field makes it tough work.

A huge thank you to Warren Ponting and Jason Andreatta for their help in saving us from the side of the road and getting our trailer and us mobile again.

A special thanks to the never-ending support and help from Chris Alcorn and Royden Alcorn in getting the car prepared for the show again. Also a big thank you to George Regent and Anne for getting the car sign written and looking good for the event.

I would like to thank and congratulate the Victorian Formula 500 Association for making the event a success both on and off the track.
To Gavin White for the time and passion he puts into this division and the wonderful job he does in promoting our sport.

To all fellow competitors, I thank you for some great racing…

Dad took me to Parramatta Speedway and I just fell in love instantly.

How do you prepare yourself mentally and physically before a race?
I mentally prepare for each race by imagining what it's going to look like.

We are a small family team and we try to all work together as a team and provide positives wherever possible.

Victorian Speedweek has always been the pinnacle and now we have the Powri Nationals to add to the list

I am focused from the time I arrive at the track to the completion of the night with one goal, winning…

What do you love most about the racing community and the camaraderie among fellow racers?
The speedway community has always been special, no matter where you are in the country someone will lend you a hand or offer their help.

Can you share a memorable experience where you faced adversity during a race and managed to turn it around for a positive outcome?
I was sent to the rear in Lismore by the chief steward in the feature, I maintained composure and managed to finish third.

I watch a lot of overseas racing and work on my own car.

What are your future goals and aspirations in the world of racing?
My dream is to go to America and race sprint cars.

How do you stay motivated and passionate about racing, even after facing setbacks or challenges?
I try and remain as positive as possible, I also have a family that supports me.
