The Morning Batch has come to an end.

I started it as a small experiment. A way to bring fresh bread and pastries back to Saturday mornings in Mullum and see if there was space for it again.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, pre ordered, spread the word and supported us over these past few weeks. It really meant a lot.

The gap we were hoping to fill has shifted, so we’re choosing to step back and put our energy elsewhere.

I’m so glad we gave it a go.

Morning Batch is happening tomorrow.
Fresh sourdough, Turkish bread, baguettes, plain croissant, almond croissant, hot sausage rolls, take home packs of sausage rolls and Mille Feuille. 8am to 10am only.

This is the starter for tomorrow’s dough which will in turn become Saturday’s bread. Tomorrow we make and shape the dough. Once that is done it will go into a rest and rise process. The best part of this process begins around 4am Saturday morning when we bake the absolute freshest breads, croissants, profiteroles and mille feuille in Mullumbimby for@you collect between 8am & 10am Saturday morning.

The Morning Batch is back this Saturday.

Last week Greg was knocked around by a nasty bug so we had to press pause for a week. He’s all better now, so we’re back at it this Saturday from 8 to 10am in Mullumbimby.

A small batch of fresh breads, croissants, almond croissants, profiteroles and sausage rolls, all baked that morning.

Pre orders are open now and extended until Thursday 9am.
If there’s something you really want, ordering ahead is the safest bet.

We’ll also have a handful of extras available on the morning, so you can still swing by if you forgot to order.

No Morning Batch tomorrow.

I have been taken out by a stomach bug this week so the ovens are having a rest.

When you work with food the only sensible thing to do is stay out of the kitchen until fully recovered.

Thanks to everyone who came along last Saturday. It was so good to see so many familiar faces back for bread and pastries.

Back next Saturday from 8 to 10am.

Good news for the last minute planners.

The Morning Batch orders now stay open until Thursday 9am. Which means you have a little longer to remember that Saturday morning baked goods are a very good idea.

Pickup Saturday 8 - 10am in Mullumbimby Industrial Estate. And for those who just can’t get their orders in on time, we’ll still have a selection of freshly baked goods available on the day.

A little look at the journey from flour to fresh baguettes.

The Morning Batch is a small weekly bake. Breads, croissants, pastries and sausage rolls, all made that morning.

Pre orders are open now and recommended, but we will always have a small selection available on the day for anyone who wants to drop by.

We are trialling this for a few weeks to see if Mullum still wants Scratch Saturdays. If you do, spread the word.

It’s a weekly thang… for now 😉

The Morning Batch is happening every Saturday from 8 to 10am in Mullumbimby.

Fresh sourdough. Croissants. Profiteroles. Sausage rolls. All baked that morning.

We’re trialling this little rhythm for a few weeks to see if Mullum still wants Scratch Saturdays.

If you’d like freshly baked bread and pastries on your weekend table, come down and support it so we know we’re onto a good thing.

Pre-orders are recommended, but we will still have a small selection available on the day for anyone who forgets to order or just feels like swinging by.

Small batch. Two hours. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.
