"This bloody marble cake! It’s amazing what a little piece of cake can do lol! Butterken has made my whole life because of this cake. I used to eat this cake when I was younger. Every time I go to Austria or Germany I get it, and I can never find it here in Australia. It’s been like a lifelong search for me. When I found it at Butterken, I was like, THERE'S NO WAY THAT'S THE CAKE.....and it is! You have no idea how it is legit , MY SOUL. My like lifelong search."

It is with much great sorrow that we announce the departure of our beloved Marble Cake (Marmorkuchen)

Marketing girl Bek is especially devastated about this, she may or may not have started a petition to keep it.

But all good things must come to an end, this isn’t goodbye. This is see you later. 💔

Our dearest Olivier,

First of all HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🥳 Have the most wonderful day 🎂🍻

We are so excited to have you on the team and to have you as such an important support pillar for our bakery.

After a very gruelling sponsorship process, we had the pleasure of welcoming Olivier to the team as our Head Baker in December last year, and honestly, we couldn’t be happier to have you here 🥰

We can’t wait to see where you help take the bakery and everything we’ll create together.
And who said the Germans and the French don’t get along? 🇩🇪🇫🇷
(Okay… history might have something to say about that, but times have changed!)

You bring such positive energy, an open and honest nature, and you are just incredibly fun to have around. You can also talk to Hendrik for hours about the finer details of baking, which we are all very grateful for, because it means the rest of us don’t have to listen to him!😜
