An extra special shout out to Tim Swifte, Swiftech Services for providing professional electrical services for the Fete. 🤩

Tim worked tirelessly over the course of several days to source and hire electrical equipment, set up generators, fridges, electrical supplies and lighting to ensure a safe and high quality set up on the day. 💡

Thank you Tim - we couldn’t have done it without you! We greatly appreciate your commitment to making our Fete great, even though your children have long left the school. You are truly a champion of the local community! 💪

While the sun has officially set on the MSS Fete for this year, we still have a few people to thank in the community. 🫶

🎉 Wow, Moorooka community! What an epic turnout at the Fete last Saturday! 🎉

With school parents, carers and families, local community and businesses, local school communities and faraway alumni, it truly was an incredible community-focused event.

Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers and sponsors who made the Fete a massive success. 🙏

📣 Big shout out to some of our local legends for giving their generous time on the day:
- Moorooka Lions and Rotary Club of Brisbane Inner West who ran the BBQ and burger stalls
- Tim Swifte - Swiftech Services Pty Ltd - for all things electricity and lighting. What an amazing feat! We couldn’t have done it without you!
- Woolworths Moorooka volunteers who ran the nachos stall and donated food, drinks, condiments and more!
- Yeronga State High School volunteers for their willingness to work on any stall
- Atlas who ran the fairy floss and sno cone stall

Join us at the Fete tomorrow for the ultimate Pet Parade for dogs! Proudly brought to you by Gold Fete Sponsor, MyOwnVet, a family-owned veterinary clinic and established haven for locals looking for help for their furry friends. 🥇

Show off your adorable companion and let them strut their stuff in the Best Dressed or Best Trained category. Prizes in each category for small, medium and large breeds dogs. 🐕🐕‍🦺

Cost: $5 entry on the day; pay and sign up at the uniform shop.

Time: Competition starts on the stage at 1pm sharp; pay your fee and be at the stage at 12.50pm.

🧱 Join our Lego competition! 🧱

Calling all young builders and creative minds!

Ignite your imagination and put your brick-building skills to the test at the Lego competition at the Fete!

You will have 15 minutes to build a Lego creation of your choice.

Time: 12pm to 4pm
Location: School Hall
Cost: free to enter

Lego prize packs to be won!!

Winners will be decided by spectators who can make a gold coin donation to vote for their favourite build. Prizes will be drawn at 5.35pm at the main stage.

🌟 VOLUNTEERS WANTED—WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🌟

Thank you to everyone who has volunteered for Fete activities. We are so impressed with your enthusiasm for the Fete and your willingness to donate your time! 👊

We have now filled 92% of roles, but there are still some key roles to fill. Can you help us reach our goal to fill all the required volunteer roles? We need the following:

Friday 26th July—7 spots to fill
1, 2 and 3 hour shifts to help with Fete site set up and hand out ride bands.

Saturday 27th July—38 spots to fill
1, 1.5, 2 and 3 hour shifts to fill to help with:
- Face painting
- Coffee shop
- Nachos stall
- Hot chips stall
- Pizza stall
- Raffle ticket sales
- Entertainment stage hand/runners
- Information stall
- Various pack up activities at the end of the day.

Sunday 28th July—4 spots to fill
Site pack up and clean down - 10am-1pm.

Monday 29th July—3 spots to fill
Volunteers with a ute or trailer urgently needed to help with equipment return and delivery from 9am-12pm.
