Today is the second day of IBD awareness month... For 5 years I kept telling my gp there was something wrong with me... But noone listened or cared... Today is the 6 year anniversary of my first major surgery to try and repair a fistula, when they went in they found 3 more... Severely infected... Two days later I was in emergency surgery for severe blood loss from my bowels... I needed 3 blood transfusions that night... Since then I refuse to accept complacency when it comes to my health... I have changed gastro specialist so many times I have lost count ... If you aren't going to help me or listen to me, I will find someone who will... Be strong and stand up for your health or the health of your child... Don't take no for an answer.

Loaded Sticky date slice ...
recipe
250gm dates (soaked in boiling water)
1/3 cup of vegetable oil
1 and half bags of butter cake mix
100ml of fireball (2 mini bottles)
pinch of salt
bltiz the dates after soaking them for 30 mins ... combine all the ingredients in a bowel and stir until incorporating all the dry ingredients. once all combined bake for 25 to 30mins at 180°C fanforced or 200°C non fanforced. once cooked portion and store... great for on the go snack or breakfast, a side with brunch or a dessert served with some caramel sauce and icecream or custard.

From Kelly Hello from Thailand. Today I went and donated bears to a charity that gives to sick needy children here. They have a hospital attached as well. They were very thankful after realising what they were. I did have to show them mine so they fully understood which of course I didn’t mind doing.

the whole prep time was 5 mins and left to cook for 4 hours on high in the slow cooker

Another dinner for 6 to 8 people for under $15. Chicken vegeand noodle soup
Recipe
2kg drumsticks , cooked and shredded (1kg after removing the bones)
200 gm potato, diced
200 gm carrot, diced
200 gm onion, diced
3 wheels of egg noodles
1 cup of rice
1 cinnamon stick(optional)
1 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoons of butter
this has 36gm protein and only 463 calories per serving.
The cost breakdown is in the video. total cost for this dinner is $12.97.
