The Milawa Kitchen - Bakery, Cafe & Eatery!
The MILAWA KITCHEN is a combination of being curious about where our food comes from and experiences from around Europe working with farmers, millers, bakers, chefs and winemakers. We are passionate about keeping old world skills in a modern & regional environment. All of this gives us a stronger level of food security and sustainable food systems.
The Milawa Kitchen is located at the Milawa Cheese Factory Complex in North East Victoria.
Open 7 days a week from 8am to 5pm, we are a bakery, cafe & eatery only utilising the freshest and most local produce that we can. Stocking bread from Milawa Bread, freshly stone milled flour from Milawa Mill and serving coffee that is sure to delight, The Milawa Kitchen is the perfect stop for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Our menu reflects, owners Adam & Florence’s extensive background in hospitality and features a range of dishes that are of a rustic Mediterranean feel. We utilise as much homegrown & local produce that is available and we source this from our own market garden, potager and the local surrounding produce businesses.
The Milawa Kitchen shares the same philosophy as it’s sister businesses with all of our onsite pastries made fresh daily including our famous CRUFFIN! Cruffin = Baked croissant (in a muffin shape) rolled in sugar and filled with delights like lemon OR lime curd, nutella, raspberry jam and honey crème patisserie.
The flour from Milawa Mill is utilised across our range of onsite & take home offerings and our Milawa Bread plays a key feature in our menu also.
