A little art, painted in buttercream. 🌸

Inspired by the beauty of flowers, this cake brings together soft, muted pinks and earthy greens in a palette knife painting design. Each stroke adds its own texture, creating a floral piece that feels almost like a painting on canvas.

Because buttercream can be art, too. 💗

I came across Marc Sinan post about why flowers are a “terrible gift” and I loved the way he looked at it.

Because when you really think about it, flowers aren’t practical.

They don’t last forever.
They don’t solve a problem.
And eventually, they’re gone.

But maybe that’s exactly what makes them special.

You don’t give flowers because they’re useful.
You give them because you thought of someone.

And I think that’s what makes a cupcake bouquet so special too. 🌸🧁

It’s not just cupcakes.
It’s choosing the colours.
It’s choosing the flowers.
It’s putting together something beautiful simply because you wanted to make someone smile.

A little unnecessary.
A little impractical.
But very thoughtful.

And with one little advantage…
you can eat the bouquet. 😉

Apparently, my brain don’t really switch off creative mode. 😂

When I’m not in the kitchen creating cakes and cupcakes, my imagination is still running wild — this time, I found myself creating this little abstract nativity scene using bits and pieces I already had around the house. ✨

I just love seeing an idea in my head and finding a way to bring it to life. 🤍

Maybe being creative is just part of who I am. 🩷

One piping tip, 12 different looks ✨

I recently had a little play with my No. 18 piping tip and experimented with different movements and pressure to see how many different borders I could create.

Same tip, but such different results! 🤍

It’s always fun discovering new ways to use the piping tips you already have instead of reaching for a different one every time.

Which one would you try first? 👀

They may look like a lot of buttercream… 🌸

But there’s a difference between seeing all those pretty piped flowers and actually eating them.

I’m always mindful of keeping that balance between the cupcake and buttercream — because as beautiful as they are, they still need to taste just as good. 🤍
