Although we shy away from media social????, it has come to our attention that our customers in house are so moved to hear about what we do, these are customers that have supported us since inception and did not realise the great threads that make Proserpina what it is. So I feel it only fair to all the wonderful souls that contribute to the whole puzzle of Proserpina to be acknowledged.
Thank you Gary Cooper of 45 years dedication love, acknowledgement of 37 chefs hats for your passion to food culture. It is You who no one sees, that gets up at 2 in the morning and creates that window of great beauty, knowing and beyond words embodiment of nourishment . Thank you - you are the rock to Proserpina.
Thank you Cara, who believes in supporting all the beautiful staff that love and live Proserpina. - Food culture - F***. food industry. support food culture!! You believe in our community.and just believe in humanity!!!
Thank you farmers that support food culture, with out you - there is no Proserpina. (The goddess of Agriculture and wheat - the daughter of Mother Earth). That's what you are - all souls connected to that - the earth. The earth that we come from, the earth that we return to. Why poison it when we are only going to hand it to our children. The majority of our produce coming from Biodynamic Marketing - the champions of food culture and a love for our food connecting us back to this planet and what nature has to offer.
Then we come to the question that is asked the most. Do you make everything here??? The pastry?? The bread?? The croissants?? And yes we grow the vegetables in our own permaculture 56 garden bed - no plastic Poli tunnels garden. Thank you Geoff!!! Biodynamic, permaculture guru. You have hand shovelled and built every garden bed. You micro biologist, mycelium nerd!!! Love your work, thanks for helping nourishing the ground that grows the vegetables and fruit to nourish all of our community.
And yes, those faces that greet you, and continue that connection of humanity and soul nourishment. Josie 7 years (yep - that's the whole life time of Proserpina you have been there) love you and Cindy, - thanks for your warmth and belief. Benedict, another rock that rocks it. 5 and a half years of our Proserpina bakery - you make it work, you connect all the needs and orders and dreams of our customers come to life through the webs that need to be woven.
Beyond words is the magic that happens from Tati and Tracey on pastry - ever single fragment of pastry is made with your hands. You also wake up early and hear the birds before anyone else. On a Monday and any other day that we need you.
Kimbo your hands realise every croissant - every croissant is determined by you and nature. Butter - we use only butter, unlike most. Butter will change with the seasons, we love watching the difference. Autumn butter to spring butter it's so different and so it should be.
Tundi and Neeloo, order up!!! the silent spirits that gets the paints the canvas and the paint brushes ready for Gary - thank you. Pauline you Challah queen!!
Has anyone ever made you feel so special at Proserpina. That has to be Joaquin and Mari, Argentinian souls we are grateful to almost call Australian (we are working on it). You go beyond. Love you both as does everyone else.
Ange - you make caffeine taste way to good!!!! You and your beautiful Lane sisters present our organic coffeee with the integrity that it deserves. Using only biodynamic unhomoginised cows milk (sorry it's here we are - Pasturising _not raw - but the government says NO????)
So many many more to thank and our beautiful juniors that have all grown up on our community - warmth and thank you for being apart of this important living food belief.
Anyway Proserpina = living food and between the 2 owners its 70 years dedication to living food!!!!! It's 40 staff of local souls and a community that we feed with any left overs thanks to the Philanthropic group.
