Kimm Bakes Cakes Growing up in a family of home cooks and bakers, baking comes naturally. I have been mixing bowls and licking egg beaters before I could even write. Kimberley x

Baking runs through my veins. I fondly remember the first thing I had ever baked without my my mother's watchful eye. They were meant to be chocolate chip cookies. I had ambitiously started making the cookie dough without even checking if we had chocolate chips on hand. All we had were a few unwanted chocolate roses (the flavours that no one likes eg. turkish delight and cherry ripe) they just had

to do. Being at the tender age of 8, I can still picture my parents masking their feelings of utter disgust with "mmms" and "ahhs." I knew they were horrid, but I was proud! Ever since, I had baked almost every weekend, exhausting my mother's plethora of vintage cookbooks. Baking was my happy place, a place were I could escape and dream of the day where I would own and run my own patisserie or cafe! Today, baking is very much a passion as it was twenty years ago and I am pleased to be able to share my joy of baking with you.
