Just a reminder, behind every cookie is years of practice, learning, and mastering of the skills needed to create your masterpiece.
$8 may see expensive, but remember it includes, the cost of ingredients, cost of cookie cutters that we often buy for a particular project, the labour to bake, cool, store, make the icing, colour the icing into as many different colours as we need (often 5-10 different colours), package into individual piping bags, the cost of the piping bags and nozzles, then to decorate, package, and present to the client.
Depending on the complexity of the design, one cookie could take upwards of 15 - 30 minutes to decorate alone, and this is with the skills that we have acquired by paying for courses, and many hours of practice.
I always do my best to bring a project in at your budget, but sometimes this just isn’t possible.
