Today is the start of the festival of Shavuot, a celebration of the harvest where eating dairy, such as cheese cake is a tradition. Our Polish Baked Cheese Cake is made to a 100 year old recipe using the finest of ingredients. Although we are not a kosher bakery, the quark, a sour cheese, that we use is kosher. This allows our cheese cake to be loved by everyone, as it is also Halal friendly. Serve as it is, or decorate with a selection of fresh berries. Order or pick up one today. We are baking daily to fill orders so please call ahead to ensure you don’t miss out! ♥️

It’s definitely a Polish Cheese Cake kind of day! As the leaves start to fall and the winter woolies come out, nothing is more heart warming than sharing a hot coffee & a piece of our 100 Year Old Recipe, Polish Baked Cheese Cake with friends!

Baked with love, our cheese cake is world renowned. Using quark which is tangy and slightly sour, our cheese cake is not overly sweet and pairs perfectly with a cup of coffee.

Pop by for a slice or take a whole cake home and share with your family. Open till 6.30 daily for pick up.

Very exciting news!! Our iconic Kooglhoupf gift box is back after a 5 year absence. Why is this exciting you ask??

Well….you will now be able to order a medium sized Kooglhoupf to send anywhere in Australia via express post!! Buy one for yourself or send one as a gift. This tough box was first created close to 20 years ago by an industrial designer to withstand almost anything while the Kooglhoupf travels across the country!

Monarch’s Famous Plum Cake, made daily, made lovingly and with the finest ingredients. The secret to our very special butter sponge is using the highest grade New Zealand butter….and love of course! Our plums, which are Australian grown, are soft, tangy & juicy, making this simple yet delicious cake a favourite among many generations!

The most wonderful time of the year is less than a month away & our Christmas prep has started. That incredible smell of fruits marinating & butter & sugar melting, is simply the best!

Our iconic Poppyseed Kooglhoupf, that we only make twice a year, is now available to order. Get in quick as numbers are limited. Of course our house faves, Chocolate Kooglhoupf & 100 Year Old Recipe, Polish Baked Cheese Cake are also on the list of daily bakes, but we encourage you to order in advance. This makes things better for our chef, so please don’t leave ordering to the last minute!

From Monday, our famous Fruit Mince Pies will be available. These are without a doubt, the best in Melbourne! Try one or a dozen…guaranteed to make you smile!

Lastly, as many of you would know from your own experience, there have been a few price increases that have hit our industry very hard. The price of butter has skyrocketed and chocolate has gone up by 40% over the last couple of years. So please understand, if raw ingredients go up, we must raise our prices too, otherwise we won’t survive! Please appreciate, if you want a quality product, with the highest grade ingredients, you will notice prices have gone up…sorry!
