**The Long Goodbye, A New Exciting Journey begins...
Dear friends,
Mes amis, Mesdames et Messieurs, all journeys are a search for meaning. A search for truth and purpose, a search for one's authentic pride of place. For over 3 years The Rustic Artisan has built an Artisanal Bakehouse and Cafe business driven by quality handcraft and unique heritage recipes. From over 500 online clients in the early days to serving countless customers in our Mt Waverley Cafe; I am immensely proud of what we have achieved to date😊. The Rustic Artisan has proven to be a genuine contender for one of Melbourne's finest artisanal Sourdough breads... frequently spoken of in the same breath as Melbourne's best Sourdough Bakehouses. As I retire from traditional production, we have over 100 Google reviews with an average 4.8 star rating (https://g.co/kgs/V6QeHY). That speaks for itself and answers the hecklers angling in the peanut gallery😆. Reading many of those reviews, we know our craft and our hospitality has forged a deep connection with Melbourne bread and quality food lovers❤️.
As our Mt Waverley shop lease nears its end in November 2023😕, the owner will not entertain selling the building to us. For us, a sale being necessary as new infrastructure expenditure is needed to grow the thriving weekend business; and to be compliant with Building Regulations in respect of numbers of patrons to number of toilets.........
We are again in the words of Grand'Mere Suzanne forced to "dream far beyond the confines of our imaginations". We have spent the last few months pondering that very thought. A famed Irish poet once wrote "The sun🌞 burns so brightly it leaves no shadow". Friends, I too intent to continue to burn brightly, leaving no shadows in my wake - breaking free from the shackles and shadows other have cast before me. As I see it, the circumstances of fate have paved the way for a new Journey.....a journey where there is a greater opportunity or rather a greater mission to share our Artisanal heritage with you and for you to share our Artisanal heritage with your near and dear ones❤️......
The Rustic Artisan Cafe Restaurant at 61 Marianne Way Mt Waverley will end trading on 🎉22nd of October 2023🎉. So friends, you have around 6 weeks to pop in before we terminate mass production forever😆. If you are curious drop by for a bite.
