SA Health finally contacted us yesterday afternoon to advise us that our cafe Istanbul Lounge was not a Covid Exposure Site and it was erroneously listed as one. They have not provided an explanation as to why they made this mistake. The impact of their incompetence has been profound and includes loss of income, waste of food, needless isolation of staff and visitors and emotional distress. We will be re-opening on Saturday. Thanks to everyone for their support, in particular ABC Adelaide (The Drive with Jules) for approaching us and giving us the opportunity to tell share our story twice. I hope other news outlets such as Channel 7 Adelaide take this opportunity to update the South Australian community about how SA Health got it wrong as quickly as they did to name and shame the café when the false announcement was first made.
