Easter is just around the corner. Back in Tassie, I’d be busy making hot cross buns. So let’s continue the tradition in Malaysia shall we? 🐣 Now accepting pre-orders! 🥰

Milk and honey hot cross buns, warmly spiced, folded with sultanas, cranberries, raisins, currants and orange peel. Brushed with butter and an orange tea glaze to finish.

If you’re in KL and you’re wanting a box on Easter weekend, pop me a message or order via the link in my bio. Only available on Friday 3rd April and Sunday 5th April 😌

Happy Lunar New Year! 🧧

Every year, mama Kenzo’s prepares pots of red bean soup to gift to each family. Her years of refining have left us with the smoothest red bean soup that’s not too sweet and spiced with the perfect amount of orange peel. She starts the night before, cooks it in the slow cooker overnight and blends it the morning of, ready to have on the first day of every Lunar New Year.

And because the youtiao store was closed for the New Year break, I whipped up some passable youtiao to soak up all the red bean goodness 🥰

Hope everyone had a wonderful CNY, visiting friends and family! ❤️

And for my Malay friends, Selamat Menyambut Bulan Ramadhan! 🌙

A little Seremban trip because our favourite human bean is back in the country 🥳

Started off strong with these silky bowls of noodles that we waited almost 30 mins for and they were so worth the wait. Served with a rich soup full of dried scallops that was devoured in minutes. Oh and the star of the show - these bouncy meatballs wrapped in fish paste!✨

A quick visit to Wah Tung bakery for their old school baked goods and their kuih koci (still one of the best I’ve had) ❤️

Rice plates with all the good stuff, plus an extra side because we had to go all in 🤭

Quick little cendol stop to cool us down ❄️

And finally, a little visit to this gorgeous gem of a place - Poie bakehouse. Filled with good vibes, good smells, yummy treats and drinks that would put most KL cafes to shame! 🥹
