Hi Everyone!

Even though I'm no longer making cakes and haven't been on here much, I wanted to share the best little bake I've ever done.

We are over the moon to share the birth of our little boy, Henry James Oldman.
He was born on Wednesday 4th June weighing 4.04kg and 53cm long.

We are just so happy and grateful for him and can't stop staring at how perfect he is 🩵

Ok, back to my little love bubble I go 🥰

This was a fun cake, incorporating a book theme, based on the Wings of Fire series for Ebony's 12th birthday 🙂

A huge thank you to the wonderful team at Little Dance who made the custom acrylic topper, and also replaced it with a new one at very short notice after I accidentally broke it the night before 🙈

**Important Announcement & Info**

This is a post with both super happy and some sad news rolled into one. As you can see from the image, I've been baking something other than cake for the last few months - my husband and I are SO happy and thankful to share that after almost 11 years of marriage we will be welcoming a sweet little baby in June next year ❤😊

I've been juggling two jobs (my cake business as well as another casual position elsewhere) for the last while and it's been a challenge at times which has lead me to the next, more sad, part of my post.
After a lot of reflection, thought and discussion, I have decided to hang up the apron and close the doors to Cloud 9 at the end of Feb 2025.

When I started this small business I could never have dreamed that I would sit here, 10 years down the line, having made hundreds and hundreds of cakes for so many wonderful people all over Melbourne! I am so grateful for the support over all this time and would not have come this far without all of you!

So a huge thank you from the bottom of my heart and I look forward to finishing the wedding & celebration cakes I still have booked in Jan & Feb.

May you have a lovely & peaceful day celebrating the true meaning of Christmas with everyone near & dear to you.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued support through your orders, likes, comments etc. Without all of you I wouldn't have made it 10 years into this business.
