We’re looking for a cook / kitchen all-rounder or someone wanting to start a apprenticeship to join our team at The General Café.

This role suits someone who enjoys working with food, is reliable, and can handle a busy service with a calm, team-focused attitude.

🕖 Start: 7am

🕒 Finish: around 3pm

📅 Days: Friday to Monday

📌 Weekend availability is essential

Today is National Sorry Day.
A day to honour the strength of the Stolen Generations Survivors and to acknowledge the deep wounds woven through our country’s history.

Sometimes I feel so deeply saddened by the truth of it all. The stories that were silenced. The families torn apart. The culture, language, and spirit that were almost erased.

That grief sits heavy in my chest. But I know it’s part of waking up. Of truly listening.

I'm so so sorry. 💔

Holiday Hours Update
Just a little heads-up, lovely friends!
We are open as usual this Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
Then we’ll be taking a little break for our annual holiday — closing from Tuesday 29th April and reopening on Saturday 24th May.

Mrs Bread will be baking extra loaves this Sunday and Monday, so if you’d like to stock up and pop some in the freezer, make sure you swing by!

Closed This Friday for the Show! 🎡🎠

We’ll be closed this Friday for the local public holiday., because while we love serving you, it’s just not busy enough to justify the extra wage costs.... Plus, we won’t say no to a day of wood-chopping, show bags, and a sneaky dagwood dog.

We’ll be back on Saturday, well-fed and ready to go. Enjoy the show, Kangaroo Valley!
