☀️ Tasmanians are urged to prepare their properties ahead of forecast high temperatures and strengthening winds this weekend.

⚡️ There's also the likelihood of lightning in some areas of the state which may start fires.

🔥 TFS has initiated a hot day response which will double the brigade response to any fires that occur over the weekend.

⛔️ We have also placed a hold on issuing any fire permits.

🍃 Landholders are urged to make sure any fires that have been lit in recent days and weeks are extinguished before the weekend.

📞 Anyone who sees a fire burning should report it to triple-zero (000).
