The whiting action couldn’t have been much better today, departing Westernport Marina just before lunch and enjoying the sunny warm conditions on the port.
With Scotty Billy and myself all getting our bags and threw a dozen back too.
It’s amazing what a degree or two of water temperature can do.

Sam and I needed a break from the Reds, with some quality captures under our belts already this season it was time for some RnR gentlemen’s hours fishing.

Departed Hastings at a reasonable hour heading off to chase some Calamari with plans to chase some Whiting later if we had the time.
Well that plan turned out very well, 20 Calamari and nearly a dozen more released in just over an hour, before we jumped onto the ting!
Full sun ☀️shallow water, slack tides no worries.😁
Double bagged on the whiting and picked up some fresh baits too.
