Did you know ….The original Anzac biscuits were savoury biscuits. They were an essential component of Anzac soldiers' and sailors' rations. These biscuits were a substitute for bread, but they weren't particular appetising. In fact, they were so hard that troops used to have to soak them in water to make them edible.
