Hampton Children's Playhouse is a place where parents/carers and pre-school children can socialise, play and learn together in a welcoming, safe and fun environment. The Playhouse was established in 1978 by local mothers and has become one of Bayside Melbourne's best community facilities for young families. This is the Playhouse's Public page for current and past members, as well as any p

otential future members, and general public or local community groups to Like. Playhouse members can also join the Members page. Once you are a member of Playhouse you can visit as often as you like! Members can visit any day of the week - bookings are not needed. Parents/carers attend Playhouse with their children and are responsible for their own children’s needs.

The snack makers, comfort givers, storytellers, organisers, cuddlers, cleaners, teachers and biggest cheerleaders.

The ones raising the next generation with so much love - even on the exhausting days.

A little pause… for something better 💛

HCP is now closed from today as renovations begin 🚧

We’ll be welcoming you into our temporary Brighton space from Wednesday, with more info coming shortly.

Big changes (and exciting ones!) at the Playhouse 💛

From Monday 20 April, our Hampton space will temporarily close for renovations as part of a Bayside City Council-funded upgrade ✨

While this means a short-term change, it also means we’ll be coming back with a refreshed, safer and more beautiful space for our families.

In the meantime, we’re so happy to be continuing sessions nearby in Brighton (from 22 April).

Our temporary space is a little smaller, so things will look a bit different - but what won’t change is the heart of the Playhouse: connection, community, and a warm welcome for you and your little ones 💛

We know this is short notice and truly appreciate your flexibility as we navigate this transition together.
