When you see a goat standing on a pinnacle, it may be linking into Orion for inspiration, for their soul mission is to lighten the vibration of our planet.

27. MAGPIE ~ Balance

Magpie is the bringer of balance, the yin-yang of the bird world, an agent of awareness, the embodiment of ‘the opposites that are equal’ and the force that champions the attainment and correct use of esoteric knowledge.

She demonstrates that spiritual knowledge, and the power that comes with it, must be approached with a committed, objective mindset. It cannot be attained overnight, or bought with money. Information gleaned during a weekend workshop, for example, can only ever be considered a foundation on which real learning, learning that comes with experience and practice, takes place. I trust the answers I find within me. I know that the presence of love is real.

Saint Teresa is a call for the importance of the interior life. She knew intimately about the spiritual wealth we all possess and have access to if we're willing to go inward. She not only emphasized the need to meditate and to pray in order to reach that innermost castle where the soul waits for us, but she also instructed the sisters of her convent on how to discern the presence of the soul, or of a saint, or of a holy person that is giving us wisdom from within us.
She had a bookmark that supposedly read, "If you have God, you will want for nothing. God alone suffices." This synthesizes the wisdom of her experience. Nothing less than divine love will satiate a seeker, especially once you have met with it from within.

She urges us to meditate, to pray, to go inward and meet with the presence of the soul. And then she asks for us to believe that it is real, and that the answers we find are real. She asks us to move that inner truth out into the world with confidence and conviction.

35. SPIRIT GUARDIAN OF AUTUMN ~ Letting go

Red, orange, yellow, and brown leaves flurry around you in a warm autumn wind. A small zephyr creates an upward spiral of leaves, directed by Air Spirit in a dance of color and light. In the great circle of life, the trees lose their leaves in the fall so that new growth can occur in the spring. It is part of the natural cycle of life.

Surrender. All is well. You don't have to do it alone; the Creator is at your side. Letting go can heal the need to be in control, the stress of unfulfilled expectations, the anguish of needing to decide how things should be, and the tension of wanting others to act in a particular way. These things lead to unhappiness. Letting go opens the space for relaxation, healing, and success.

Of course, there are times to hold on as if your life depended on it. But now is the time to surrender. You aren't succumbing to forces outside of yourself; instead, you are opening to your inner guidance and to your soul. When you let go, the creative forces of the Universe can flow through you.
Earth-based cultures recognized the four power points of the year—the spring and fall equinoxes, and the summer and winter solstices—had profound spiritual meaning.
