Don't worry, we are first in the list.

Time for something new? How about a gluten free traditional sausage roll. All made from scratch right here in our dedicated gluten free bakery. Unbelievably good light flaky pastry. Like you wouldn't actually know it's gluten free. It feels like pastry. Tastes like pastry. Drops a few flaky crumbs down your front like pastry. We've travelled around a bit trying out different gluten free pastries and honestly this the best. Ever. Anywhere. If you want a piece of that deliciousness stay tuned, you're on the fastest route.

Well didn't we get a thrashing! Thought the gf cinnamon scrolls had had their day. Apparently not! So we've had a good chat with Basket Range Baker gf (which is us) and between us we've decided it would be good to keep the scrolls going for now at least. It's the old story of Supply and Demand. You demand. We supply. Thanks for the feedback.

Tomorrow being Friday therell be bread in the cafe. And Gluten Free Cinnamon scrolls. So come in and put your mouth where your money is. Or your money where your keyboard is. You know what I mean. You give us money. We'll give you cinnamon scrolls. That's true love right there.

We should start a petition or something

If you are not addicted to our gluten free cinnamon scrolls just scroll on by.

But we think it's only fair to give plenty of warning that we reckon cinnamon scrolls are a winter thing. Or at least a cold weather thing.

We haven't quite put a final date on it yet. Next week? The week after? Can't really see them going on into November.

So. You've been warned. Get prepared. Find a good emotional support person if you need to. Maybe a professional counsellor. Maybe a best friend. Maybe your dog. Maybe Lifeline. Whatever works for you. Make a plan and stick to it.

Whatever happens weve got your back. We'll have gluten free cinnamon scrolls in the week before Christmas. And then they'll start up again around Easter to get you through next winter. But very shortly they'll be off the menu for now.

In case you didn't get the memo, YES we are open tomorrow 8 to 12 on the public holiday Monday. Felicity will be running coffees out. I'll clear tables and work the dishwasher. Amy and Mia taking orders and on the coffee machine. That's the plan, let's see how it goes

Lost something? Someone left their handbag in the cafe today. We also have an Audi key which was left a few weeks ago. And a few sets of eye glasses. A single red hiking pole. And several dinosaurs.

Please come in and claim them if any of these might be yours!

It's a Long Weekend! You know what that means right? You got it. We'll are open all weekend including the holiday Monday!

And to celebrate Labour Day Felicity and I will be working Monday 8-12. Hooray for the 38 hour week! Hooray for penalty rates!

No surcharge for the holiday. No surcharge for eftpos.

Come in for a coffee, croissant, gluten free goodies, weekend bread, all the usual!

Every Friday our little cafe becomes a bread shop with a range of wheat based and gluten free breads. From my end of the bakery we have all the usual sourdoughs. Normally we swap week and week about olive one week, jalapeno the next. This week it's both! Try my olive and jalapeno loaf! Salty and Spicy.

And judging by the aroma Felicity has been up to something new in her gluten free bakery. I can't tell you what as I'm not allowed in on dough days, to avoid cross contamination. Come by the cafe tomorrow and maybe you'll find out for yourself.

We had a family get together last weekend. What do you think of the dessert pizza? Delicious is what I think. Especially my sourdough crust of course!

Croissants are back! Friday Saturday and Sunday! Plain, Almond, Pain au chocolat. Probably some morning buns too! Great with coffee. Or with friends. Or on a kayak.
