Dear Firebird Breads Family,

We hope you’re enjoying the lovely spring weather! 🌻✨

After some reflection, we’ve decided to focus on building our large wood-fired oven before resuming our bread offerings. This past year has been quite a journey... and we need some time to construct the oven, create a peaceful home, and cherish moments with our boys. 👼 We are truly sorry, as we genuinely wish we could bake for you, but this time is necessary for us.

We hope to offer our warm wood-fired sourdough bread weekly or fortnightly early next year, and we can’t wait to share it with you! 🍞 We believe it will be worth the wait!!!!

In the meantime, take a moment to enjoy life’s little pleasures. 🌹

Dear Bread Lovers!

We wanted to let you know that we haven’t forgotten our wonderful bread community. This year has certainly been topsy-turvy, and we’ve been focused on staying afloat while supporting each other. Despite the challenges, our dreams for our bread business remain strong, and we’re finally starting to find our calm again.

Our next big bake is scheduled for September 1st (fingers crossed that the universe is on our side!), and we plan to bake every two weeks thereafter! We truly miss you all and are sorry for the limited baking this year. Thank you for your continued support—we CAN’T WAIT to share more delicious sourdough with you very soon!

Morning bread lovers,

Our warm, freshly baked bread will be ready for 10:30am, just in time for morning tea.

It is a first-come, first-served basis. Once all the sourdough has sold out, we will post an update on this page.

Our prices are listed below.

🌾Fairywren fruit bread ($12)
🌾W***y Wagtail white ($8)
🌾Lorikeet light rye ($9)
🌾Seeded Swallow ($10)
🌾 Silvereye Sultana ($10
🌾 Cinnamon scrolls special ($3)

We would like to emphasise that our pricing will be based on an honesty system. You can either pay in cash by dropping it into the money tin/kettle or make a bank transfer. If the bread doesn't meet your expectations in terms of appearance, taste or texture, feel free to pay whatever amount you think is fair.

You can find us at the entrance, next to 3 Burkishaw Rd, Glen Forrest.

In addition to our bread, we also have Evie's raw unprocessed Glen Forrest honey: $20/ 1kg jar

Some of you may have noticed a previous post about our plan to offer bread tomorrow. We had exciting plans, but unfortunately, we've had to cancel the bake as our boys are unwell and are in need of our full attention 😉 So sorry 😩
