At the end of march our little smarty turned 9 and asked his dad Smarty to make him his favourite car cake a Mazda Miata. But with Smarty working flat out in his normal day job he only had 1 day to make him a cake. So he created the front of a miata half winking with real lights in it Little Smarty was so very happy with his cake that was made super fast.

Please if you have a cake booked in with us and you need to change the date this needs to be done at least a week before hand if possible as Smarty dose have other cakes booked in and dose this as a Hobby in his spare time. We understand with the covid situation that days and times etc will change but unfortunately we can't always squeeze a cake into another cakes due date. We also ask that any details to the cake that need to be made be explained to us with in reasonable time a cake is not a over night piece of art it takes days of cooking, moulding and creating. Thanks for your support the Smarties.

So it's been a little tricky the past 18 months or so, travelling Australia in a camper doesn't give you many opportunities to make cakes.
My first cake in a long while was this sweet little simple one for a great friend of mine and was my first ever vegan friendly cake..
I seem to be settled down a bit now in a new state.
So updates will be more frequent as I slowly get back into this little hobby.

Came home to Tassie to make this wedding cake for a very special family member. Very honoured to not only to be invited to the wedding but to make their cake. Mud chocolate on the bottom caramel mud in the middle and white chocolate on the top with white chocolate butter cream. Special thanks to poss for the home made macaroons at late notice.

A little bit of chocolate love right here. Chocolate mud cake, white chocolate buttercream, homemade chocolates and look at that chocolate gear sheet in the middle layer all with Smartys signature look the floating jug of milk blending to chocolate thats streaming down the fault line cake. This was Smartys entry into the chocolate inspired cake for winter fest 2019 that got second place.

I do love creating this style of cake, they are never the same.
