Who forgot it was order day yesterday? 🙋‍♀️😂

My days have all got a bit mixed up this week, but no fear — there’ll still be plenty of goodies available tomorrow!

On the table we’ll have:

🍞 Plain sourdough
🌾 Threefold sourdough
🍋 Lemon & blueberry sourdough
🍥 Cinnamon roll focaccia
🍕 Pizza bases
🥚 Fresh eggs

And we’ve had a restock of Outback Black Worcestershire sauce, too!

I’m pretty sure I’m a master potato grower… just look at this year’s harvest! 😂 our best year yet!

This little bunch should keep our family of 8 going for at least a fortnight — maybe longer if I ration them carefully 😆

Although, I’m not even sure there’s 4 kg here. And I’m fairly certain the seed potatoes cost more than a 4 kg bag of brushed potatoes at Woolies… before adding the water and mulch!🫣

These are some very fancy, very expensive potatoes. 🥔😂

But in all seriousness, even if growing your own costs more, the lessons it teaches us are invaluable — patience, care, and a greater appreciation for the food on our plates. 🌱🥔

🎉 Happy last day of term! 🎉

For those who have been too busy making their school-holiday survival preparations to remember to order bread, I have two spare plain sourdough loaves available today! I also have some single-serve brownies if you need a sneaky sweet treat to fortify yourself for the fortnight ahead… 🍞🍫

Now, let’s all enjoy two whole weeks of precious, uninterrupted quality time with our darling children… all day… every day… for two whole weeks. 😇😂

May your coffee be strong, your patience plentiful and your snack cupboard well stocked.

We’ll see you back here from the 9th of October—hopefully refreshed, recharged and still speaking to one another! 😉

🖤 NEW PRODUCT — OUTBACK BLACK! 🖤

We’re very excited to have a new product joining the Hall’s Homestead range!

We first discovered this saucy gold out at Bucca, near Bundaberg, a few years ago when it was known as Bucca Black. Since then, they’ve expanded their operation—and we’ve finally managed to get our hands on a carton!

Outback Black is, hands down, the best Worcestershire sauce we’ve ever tasted—and we’ve tried quite a few! Rich, bold and packed with flavour, it’s one of those sauces you’ll want to put on just about everything.

I’ll have it listed on the website soon, but if you’d like to secure a bottle now, simply leave a comment or send me a private message.

Bottles will be available to collect this Friday afternoon during pickup. Come and grab one while they last! 🖤
