First of two orders for this weekend! I’ve been busy! lol
This was lots of fun to do (and a little stressful! lol) with a number of new techniques to try and to master. Fresh flowers, gold leaf, hidden money box and a new buttercream decorating style I haven’t done before and I was super happy with the result! Alternate layers of chocolate and vanilla cake with a vanilla/caramel butter cream. So yum!

Happy 16th Creedo!
This was a special order for one of James’ best mates. He was lucky enough to get his first car for his birthday so naturally I decided to ‘keep it simple’ and incorporate his personalised plates into the design 😂
Lots of fun and I’m told it tasted great too! Really happy with how the cake drip turned out as it’s only my second time doing it 😊

This week Lachlan turned 14 and he asked if I could make him an Air Jordan cake for his party tonight. It’s been a while since I’ve done a fun cake and I’ve never sculpted before but it was so fun and I’m super proud of the results!!

Last but not least! I was asked to make this as a surprise 30th birthday cake for a huge Dungeons & Dragons fan. I had to do some research as I had no idea about D&D at all! (Plus it needed to be dairy and sugar free as much as possible.) Considering the wow response from the birthday boy and other D&D players at his party I think I did alright!

*All was dairy free and only the buttercream and the fondant decorations had regular sugar in them.

Whilst I love making fancy cakes when I get the chance, I spend a lot more of my time baking all sorts of other yummy treats (my kids get super excited when I’m trying out something new in the kitchen! 😆)
Here are lemon butter scrolls, homemade short crust meat pie, Jaffa scrolls, and my personal favourite - lava cakes! (It was my first time making them and they were divine!!)

As you may already know I LOVE baking bread! Here are a few fun ones I’ve made recently.

First up, super awesome hot cross buns. I’ve been playing round for the last few Easter’s and I’m happy to report that these ones turned out beautifully! 😊

Next is my first attempt at crusty bread. It looked and tasted amazing (like something from a fancy French Boulangerie) and was much easier than I had thought to make. Definitely something I’ll make again and again!

The last one was a yummy cheese and herb pull-apart loaf. Think Subway’s Italian herb and cheese! 😊

Family birthdays! Always a good excuse to make yummy cakes 😉
The first one was for my daughter’s birthday in January. First attempt at doing frills with buttercream. It was hot which always makes things a bit tricky but she loved it so I’ll take that as a win! 😁

Next three were for my brother in law, my sister and my dad.
First one the brief was to be inspired by Nutella (yum!)
Second one I surprised my sister with an all out fun chocolate overload, and the last one was for my Dad who LOVES Cherry Ripe!
