Today, the world marks International Day of Older Persons.

The theme of this year’s day is “Older Persons Driving Local and Global Action: Our Aspirations, Our Well-Being, Our Rights".

At a time where we are living longer lives, there is an urgent need to shift our narrative and focus around ageing to one of participation, respect and dignity.

We can be a part of the solution by challenging our own bias and calling out ageist comments and behaviour when we see it.

After all, we will all be older one day, if we're lucky enough 😉
