Just a note to let you all know that I have officially hung up my caking apron. My family has always been my priority and having two other jobs has made it too difficult to continue creating cakes for customers without taking precious time away from my boys. I would like to thank all those who entrusted me with cakes for their special occasions and everyone who supported me along the way.

It's been a while but I got back into the kitchen last week for my son's 5th birthday party. He requested a Lego theme this year which was lots of fun. Bold, bright colours work so well for a party. Nearly one year ago I joined an amazing group of ladies at Girlfit. Last night Girlfit celebrated it's 5th birthday and I was thrilled to be asked to make the cake. Glorious sunrises are one of the bonuses of getting up to train at 6am so I let them set the scene for this creation.

Loved making this cake! Loved that the Girlfitters enjoyed it! Loved dancing off the calories!

Here's the pretty princess cake I promised to share two weeks ago! When the birthday girl's mum requested a cake that was a bit princess and a bit Frozen, I got a bit excited. I just loved working with all this pink! Definitely one of my favourite girly cakes so far.
